Courses description
This one-day interactive workshop is designed for researchers at all career stages and from all disciplines at Swiss universities and universities of applied sciences. Participants receive an introduction to the Swiss political system and to the legislative process, with a particular focus on the role of expert hearings in parliamentary committees.
The program combines concise input with practical training in a realistic simulation, in which participants take on the roles of experts or parliamentarians. They learn to position their scientific expertise effectively within political discourse, assess the potential impact of their contributions, and safeguard themselves against being instrumentalized.
The workshop combines key knowledge with practical experience and encourages reflection on the intersection of science, politics, and public discourse.
